Our XL titanium stove adds a ton of volume with a minimal weight increase. A larger door and a 50% increase in fire box volume sets this stove in a league of its own. With a total weight of just over 3 lbs (including an 8′ stove pipe), and the ability to easily disassemble the stove and fit it into your backpack, this stove is incredibly versatile. Due to the size and heat output, this stove is recommended for tents 12′ in diameter or larger.
Designed for Fall/Winter camping, this light weight, packable, titanium wood burning stove will keep you warm and dry in the worst weather conditions. Use this stove to create a comfortable environment, dry wet clothing, or cook your meals. It can do it all. With a combination of stainless/titanium end plates, plus a titanium body and stove pipe you get all the benefits of titanium at a cost you can afford. Winter camper? Hunter? Preparing for the worst? This stove is for you.
Benefits
Absolutely no tools are required to put this stove together.
An adjustable air vent allows you to adjust the amount of air entering the stove. This creates the ability to control how hot or how long you want the stove to burn to fit your needs. Use the damper on the stove pipe to keep heat in the stove longer, allowing the stove to keep you warmer.
Titanium is less heat conductive, which means more heat is able to radiate into the tent instead of getting lost up the chimney. This means more heat, slower burns, and longer burn times than stoves made of other materials. Titanium is also stronger and harder than stainless, and half the weight.
Our stoves now have the option of adding a stove baffle. The baffle diverts heat through the stove to keep the heat/gasses in the stove longer for a hotter, more efficient burn. A video showing the baffle in action can be found on our tutorials page.

I haven’t had a chance to light a fire in the stove yet, but I unpacked it and assembled it, with the assistance of the instructional video on youtube. I was impressed by the exceptional properties of the titanium foil. I’ve spent time in cold weather in tents, including an entire winter in the Yukon in a wall tent with an old fashioned sheet metal stove, which is why I went with the XL option – longer burn time means a better night’s sleep. The stove matched the description, the design is excellent and the packability is amazing. The big advantage of this stove over other packable stoves I’ve seen on the market is that it is more airtight by design, and will continue to be airtight because of the round profile (again, longer burn times and I like my sleep). I look forward to using this stove and I’ll easily be able to have it with me for any cold weather adventures.

I purchased the extra large and stove and it works as described. In fact it heated my small tipi to 80 F quickly, from 32 F. The damper and air intakes allow good control of burn speed and temp. Wide open it heated me out of the tent. This stove best suited for a larger tent than a 4 person size. 4 star instead of 5 because of the lack of instructions that I received. There is a good video of stove body assembly however not anything on assembling the pipe which is the trickiest part. Luckily I had experience with this type of stove pipe in the past. Construction seems good so far but have only used it once. Also a tip would be not to tighten the cables more than just snug on the first burn as the stove does expand slightly with heat and the bottom of the stove buckled a small amount. Pleased with this overall and less expensive than similar stoves on market.

I have not had a chance to try it in the field yet. But I did the initial Burn in and man this thing really puts out some heat well constructed and cannot wait to use a semi six man Tipi this fall and winter. lightweight ,well constructed this stove is going to be great!!

AMAZING. Simply awesome stove. Good craftsmanship, quality product, great personalized customer service.
First time I got the thing going I couldn’t stay in my tent it was so hot. Despite the cylindrical shape, it’s very easy to cook on or simply boil water. I use this stove with a modified Sierra Designs Mountain Guide (tipi) Tarp, and it’s a great setup. Achieving the longest burn over night is definitely a learning curve. So far I’ve been able to get about 5 hrs straight.
I would suggest getting the optional baffle. It redirects hot gases creating a cleaner burn and keeps the warmth in for slightly longer. You’ll also get faster boiling times. It’s been several months now, fantastic to have a portable heating system (3 lbs!!!!!) in the middle of nowhere, in winter. After a long day of trekking mountains in -20c, coming back to +20 is the greatest feeling ever.

I purchased the XL for backcountry elk hunting. After having gone in years past with small tents and sleeping in the cold, having a hot tipi tent was so much nicer. Being able to all be together in a large, warm tipi tent in the morning and evening was so much nicer. A major benefit is that you can hang clothes and with the warm tent get them to dry out. I did ask to have the extra baffle made and it works well. Also I asked for rods instead of cables for the top of the stove so that I could set a pot on the top to boil water. Yes boiling water this way is slower than a jetboil, or similar canister stove setup. But it serves as a great backup in case you run out of fuel. What we did was light the fire, and put the pot on the stove. Getting the pot of water warm. Then we would finish the boiling on the canister stove, saving fuel. I have an 8 person tipi tent. While this XL is designed for bigger tents, I mainly wanted the larger firebox so I could get the wood to burn longer at night. Everyone’s camp wood will vary burn times a lot. I could get 2+ hours of good burn easily with the XL. I think with better wood and watching the stove vents you could push this to 3+ hours burn. I would stay half awake at night and restoke it a couple times. I did fall asleep one night, and the guys crabbed it was colder in the tent that morning…LOL We got spoiled with the warmth. For the price, you can’t beat the size, performance, and weight of this stove.

I have used my XL stove only once on an overnighter. But it was impressive how quickly the stove heats my huge Tipi. And adding the stove jack myself required almost no skill at using a sewing machine.
The stove is so efficient the damper is essential to regulate the burn so you don’t heat the tent to sauna level. Awesome product.
How the stove pipe pops into shape the first time AFTER the first burn is amazing. Just let it roll out, and plop, 12 foot stove pipe, just add rings.

I’m not much of a review person but I am so pleased with this stove that I felt obligated. I purchased this stove along with an extra titanium Rod, 13’ of stove pipe. I have seen outsides 16 man Tipi which is super tall.
I had a couple of questions prior to ordering and Brennen was responsive. He shipped the stove the same day I paid for it. The stove is incredibly well thought out. Relative to the other titanium stones I’ve seen, this one manages airflow better. This is a huge advantage. I burned the stove in the day I got it and found it very easy to extend burn time and control temperature. The stove is light but not flimsy. I think the design tries to be efficient from a weight standpoint but without sacrificing durability. It’s on the money in that way. You can see in the you tube videos that there’s been some updates. The two that stand out are the baffle and the spring loaded rods that hold the body together. Brilliant. The baffle evenly distributes heat a across the top of the body and I assume keeps more heat in the stove longer. The spring loaded rods not only make set up super fast but they allow movement when the metal heats up. No one else has done this.
There are a few videos on you tube where they tried to be helpful by reviewing and explaining but I’d stick with the videos from LiteOutdoors if you want to get it right. Take your time on the pipe. That’s the hardest thing about the stove at first.
I’m a tinkerer by nature so I will offer one possible thing that could improve. If the two rods that are on the top of the stove that create a cooking surface were just a little bit stiffer or stronger that might be an improvement if it didn’t blow up costs or weight. I did put a large pot of water on it to boil just to see how it would work. It held up but it looked like I was pushing it. For your typical light weight 2 litrewater pot the current rods are plenty. Also for a larger pan where the weight is dispersed that’s not a problem for the current set up either.
Summary: Fastest set up time, longest burn time, lowest cost per volume of fire box, super fast customer service. Well done.
